August Meetings

Both the Stow and the Oxford groups will meet in August, although due to the holiday season we understand that some will be unable to make the meetings. We expect somewhat smaller meetings with smaller meetings enabling good opportunities for fellowship, encouragement, and support for members. Why not come along armed with your key challenge in reconciling your faith to your business decisions’?

June 2010 Meetings

The Oxford Group meets on Wednesday 9th June 2010 at 7.30am at the Four Pillars, Abingdon. The meeting fee is £12. We will be looking at the next chapter of God at Work. If you have a copy please bring it along.
The Stow Group meets on Wednesday 16th June 2010 at 7.30am at The Fosse Manor Hotel, Stow-on-the-Wold.. The the subject is Planning based on the Business by the Book DVD.
The meeting fee is £12.
In each case a full English breakfast is available.

May 2010 meetings

The Oxford Group meets on Wednesday 12th May 2010 at 7.30am at the Four Pillars, Abingdon. The meeting fee is £12. The speaker will be Jon Shaw, Director of Fellowship of Companies for Christ International (FCCI) based in Canada, who will talk to the subject “Learning to Love Mondays – Really!!”.

The Stow Group meets on Wednesday 19th May 2010 at 7.30am at The Fosse Manor Hotel, Stow-on-the-Wold..The speaker is Tim Lazenby of Netsecured Ltd and his subject is “Current advice on Networking in the office, Email on the move, Broadband
and more …”

Markets, Money, and Morals

This year’s Chavasse Lectures at Wycliffe Hall are being presented by Brian Griffiths, Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs International and director of Times Newspapers and Herman Miller. September Meetings

The Oxford Group meets on Wednesday 9th September at 7.30am at the Four Pillars, Abingdon. The meeting fee is £12. Mark Lloydbottom will be talking about his career to date and his current work leading Crown Financial in the UK.

Mark’s 35-year professional career saw him start his training as a student in Wolverhampton before qualifying as a chartered accountant with Deloittes in Southampton and then building three successful businesses. For sixteen years he built an accountancy business that served over 1,000 clients in Bristol. While building this business Mark developed a range of teaching programmes and management systems which he launched into the UK by founding Practice Track. For fifteen years Mark was at the helm as Practice Track became recognised as the UK’s premier publishing and marketing company for accountants. His company annually published over 750,000 budget reports and tax cards for accountants to distribute to their clients. During his time building this company Mark worked closely with a number of US organisations and gained extensive experience in anglicising US materials. Meetings in May

The Oxford Group meets on Wednesday 6th May at 7.30 at the Four Pillars, Abingdon. The meeting fee is £12. Note that this is a week earlier than usual. The Stow Group meets on Wednesday 20th May at 7.30am at The Fosse Manor Hotel, Stow-on-the-Wold.. The meeting fee is £10.
Both groups will be looking back over the past year and planning ahead for the coming year.

Meetings in April

The Oxford Group meets on Wednesday 8th April at 7.30am at The Four Pillars, Abingdon. The subject is “Finance for non-financial managers” led by James Shand. An attendee at a recent running of the event at Stow commented “James delivered a cracking talk on finance for financial duffers this morning – it should be given top billing at the Oxford meeting”. The meeting fee is £12
The Stow group meets at 7.30am on Wednesday 15th April at 7.30am at The Fosse Manor Hotel, Stow-on-the-Wold. The subject for this meeting is “Essential Briefing – Planning” and will be led by Ian Smith. The meeting fee is £10
